SANDEI | Since 2021

This project started for fun's sake.

We wanted to show that you can host events without waiting to receive something in return or to aim for something unachievable. We also wanted to test, learn new things about music, and bring music lovers together.

We are obsessed with music. And with gathering people together. Why not merge them under the same concept? This was the first creative spark.

We wanted the unconventional to be present, so we set Sunday as the main focus day of the week to create a ritual around music.

Then, we started searching for underground artists & djs who were less famous in Cluj or Romania. From the start, we knew we wanted unfamiliar music on a local scene to bring people closer to European sounds.

The visual identity connects the sun and the moon, the two elements that express temporality. They also speak about flexibility and the long length of the SANDEI events.

We created a small (but essential) local player in events made for the music community—a constantly growing community that inspires and gives everyone the courage to experiment more. We brought artists and sets that are not usually heard in our town.

The core team is made up of very good friends. Or by office colleagues. You name it.

It all started with Gabi and Vlad, who wanted to create a “fun to work with” team. Their ideas spread up shortly, like a (good) flu.

Every member has a word to say. That is what a DYI project means, after all. We all play with our skills and believe in the project's potential.
